Since March 2020, AREA 42 has hosted the Design Brussels project,
a non-profit Brussels-based platform dedicated to showcasing contemporary Belgian and international design.

Created from a desire to support and promote designers and makers on the national and international stage, Jean-François Declercq and his team present a series of annual exhibitions and talks at AREA 42.
Design Brussels is a space where all players in this sector are invited to come together in a spirit of partnership. The aim is to create a laboratory of ideas and promote the creative sector in Belgium and beyond.
This cross-functional platform has several goals: to represent designers and makers, support entrepreneurship, organise annual exhibitions and showcase furniture.
